Joe Walsh
A civil and business litigation attorney, in 2005, Joe was named a Pennsylvania “Rising Star” by Thomson Reuters, publishers of Pennsylvania “Super Lawyers.” He has successfully litigated and tried countless civil lawsuits in jury and non-jury trials, arbitration hearings, and small claims matters in Montgomery County, Bucks County and Lehigh County, and in courts across Pennsylvania. He has also successfully briefed and argued appellate matters before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Joe is also a well-regarded insurance defense lawyer who represents the largest insurers and self-insured entities in the nation.
Joseph Patrick Walsh was born and raised in Philadelphia. He graduated from Saint Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1988, and in 1991, he earned a Juris Doctorate cum laude from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. At graduation, Joe was awarded the recognition of Order of the Barristers. While in law school, he served as a Research Editor on the Law Review, sat on the Executive Board of the Moot Court Honor Society, and received several American Jurisprudence Awards.
Upon graduation, Joe became a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Herbert J. Hutton in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is currently admitted to practice law by the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania. Joe is an active member of the Montgomery Bar Association, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where he currently serves on its Board of Directors and is President of the Trial Lawyers Section. He is also an active member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Montgomery County Child Advocacy Program, and the Catholic Social Services Pro Bono Program.
Joe lives in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania with his wife and three daughters. He is active in local politics and community affairs. In 2005, he was elected to the Board of Directors for the North Penn School District. In 2009, Joe was elected to the Board of Supervisors for Montgomery Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board. He also served on the Board of Directors for the North Montgomery County Technical Career Center and the Montgomery Township Zoning Hearing Board.
